How does photo image search work, and why should design studios care?

Reverse-image search engines like Google Lens and TinEye let anyone find the original source of a photograph by uploading or screenshotting it. For interior designers, architects and specifiers, this means clients can bypass your curated mood boards, identify suppliers directly, and commission work without your involvement.
