What happens to your protected image once it is created?

Once your browser generates the protected image using the Canvas API, you have full control over what happens next. You can download it to your device, save it to your project folder, email it to a client, or share it directly. The protected image is a standard image file (JPEG, PNG) indistinguishable from any other, except that it carries the protective modifications. When you download it, it goes to your Downloads folder or wherever you choose — not to a cloud service or a NoScrape archive. You own the file. You decide its fate.

The original image (the unprotected version you selected) also remains entirely on your device. It is never transmitted, stored remotely, or retained by the tool. Is browser-based processing a substitute for legal protection or copyright registration?
